Last night listened all the songs of this years' Most awaited and first time A.R Rahman + Yashraj Collaborated   "Jab Tak Hai Jaan". Everyone is already liking the track "Challa" but I personally didn't liked this track and feels that it will  not last long. The song that struck chord at first time is the "Heer" sung very beautifully by Harshdeep Kaur, I can bet this track will rock every radio stations  and music tv channels in upcoming days.

Ok now come to the meaning of the song:

This songs takes account of two out of the four popular tragic romances of the Punjab in Mughal India Mughal Empire: Heer Ranjha and Mirza Sahiba.
(You can have a better understanding of the songs if go through the love story of Mirza-Sahiban on wikipedia here . Mirza Sahiban's story is one of very few where the male's name comes first.)

Long story short: In Heer Ranjha, Ranjha left his beloved to get married to another suitor in the beginning. And in Mirza-Sahebaan, where Mirza takes his beloved on a horse.
So, in the song, the lead wants to be called Sahebaan instead of Heer.

It was reported that,  Priyanka Chopra wanted the first song of her album to be heard in India first, therefore In My City was launched 12 hours on 13 September 2012 before it opens during pre-game show for Thursday Night Football.

In My City song is about Priyanka Chopra who used to move from one city to another because of her father's job who was an Army Doctor.

Though I have not personally liked the show as it doesn't come out in the way I wanted or imagined it to be by watching this video of the theme song. But we will not comment or discuss on the show coz here we only talk about one topic that is "Good Music!". So talking about the music, Ram Sampat had composed this track which is penned by Prasoon Joshi and as stated by the Aamir Khan this song is a "It is not an Anthem, It is a Romantic Song for the Nation". Song is sung by Keerthi Sagathia who earlier worked with Aamir and Ram Sampat for Delhi Belly.

Video of the song is directed by Ram Madhwani who earlier also helped Aamir in his Directorial Debut "Taare Zameen Par". Aamir has traveled across the country to shoot for the song. Song contains a strong nationalist spirit which shows Aamir's interaction with Indians in their every walk of life in a real and unaffected manner, doing needle work with Kashmiri lady, playing hockey with Punjabi kids, rowing boats in Kerala, drawing water from the well to encouraging a monk kid who just fell badly while playing .
Frankly speaking composition of the song is not out of the box but its the Video and Lyrics  are so powerful that's grips the public and takes the song to a higher level.
