Remake of tamil hit from Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, only the lead singer is different this time - Leon D'souza, instead of Vijay Prakash. My feeling - that madness, desperateness of the 'deewana' is missing and the accented English rap does not sound as good as it was in Tamil one. But still, it works, because of Rahman, of course.

After a along time A R Rahman is back with one of the best director of bollywood Imtiaz Ali. For the first time Rahman is teamed up with Irshad Kamil. Kamil is Punjab born and Phd degree holder in Hindi Poetry and has done a magnificent work with words of the songs of the movie rockstar.

According to Rahman, Rockstar is "a character driven film and as one can guess from the title, there will be lots of guitar". Rockstar is a musical journey that sails through classical rock, ballads, Gujarati folk, the Sufi music and even a gypsy note from an unheard Czech tradition.

He received the role of honor from the Music Society of Government College University, Lahore, which is led by Tariq Farani son of UM Saleem Shah.

He started learning classical music at age four, his grandmother being his first teacher. His main influences in music come from his father and his uncle Bade Fateh Ali Khan.

4.Shafqat Amanat Ali's- Khamaj

Shafqat was introduced to bollywood by Shankar Mahadevan.One morning while driving to his studio,he heard Shafqat's hit song aankhon ke sagar on FM. He immediately called the radio jockey who was his friend and got shafqat's contact number.Shafqat sang "Mitwa" composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy for the movie Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and the rest is history.

5.Bilal Khan's - Lamha

This track is till now not a part of coke studio but Bilal Khan will perform it on Season 4 Episode 3 that will telecasted on 19th june 2011. Bilal Khan himself composed this song.
